Professor Jim Al-Khalili explores how studying the atom forced us to rethink the nature of reality itself. He discovers that there might be parallel universes in which different versions of us exist, finds out that empty space isn’t empty at all, and investigates the differences in our perception of the world in the universe and the reality.

Here’s my simple not scientific opinion regarding this documentary: reality to some people is seeing ghosts. We all fear them but not to that point as if we would meet them in front of our faces and than someone else wouldn’t believe it.So it exists and in the same time it doesn’t because it’s a matter of opposites. We cry about the dead people our family people and all the loved ones, but guess what? WE ALL GONNA DIE EVENTUALLY.So we concentrate on the reality that our senses dictate to us and we base our knowledge according to feelings and thoughts which is way beyond rational thinking. There are more things in the cosmos than all the thoughts of all the physicians ever to exist on planet earth. The explanation about everything is nothing at all.Because we merely substitute the internal problems with the external and the real problem is the human relationships.Yes, we discovered the atom but what followed was the atomic bomb.So imagine what follows if we uncover all the secrets of the universe: more destruction and violence.
