Dogs Decoded reveals the science behind the remarkable bond between humans and their dogs and investigates new discoveries in genetics that are illuminating the origin of dogs, with surprising implications for the evolution of human culture. Other research is proving what dog lovers have suspected all along: Dogs have an uncanny ability to read and respond to human emotions. Humans, in turn, respond to dogs with the same hormone responsible for bonding mothers to their babies. How did this incredible relationship between humans and dogs come to be? And how can dogs, so closely related to fearsome wild wolves, behave so differently?

After watching, I’ve came up with some theories of my own based on the research and findings presented in this film.
Perhaps we can really tell what types of individual behaviors we have by observing the ways we treat our dogs. From what I gathered research shows us that humans have this embedded nurturing gene(?)…if people nurture their pet dog(s) negatively or positively, wouldn’t that mimic the same way they would treat their own children?
Just a thought based on the observations I’ve made with the obvious present day conditions of Pit Bulls and their reputation. Sad to think of the common remark that a Pit Bull is “naturally aggressive”.
Aggressive Dog/Aggressive Human, Aggressive Human/Aggressive Child, Aggressive/child… and vice versa of course.
I emphasize the “…” after Aggressive/child for a reason if we look at human behavior in society today.
Anyone who does not believe in evolution should watch this. Nature or humans can select traits and those traits are passed on to offspring. Evolution is as real as gravity!!!
