How are large drug companies benefiting from the latest trend of selling powerful psychoactive drugs to America’s children? Do these drugs really help our children cure symptoms of supposed mental illness, or do they tend to increase depression, violence, and suicide? Are we really treating the root causes of mental illness, or are we just eliminating annoying symptoms?
This feature-length documentary examines the alarming growth in the prescription of powerful psychotropic drugs for adolescents and children. Leading experts, as well as Neil Bush, Michael Moore and Gary Null, provide insightful commentary about the growing trend to pathologize the behavior of children, and then require them to take mind-altering pharmaceutical drugs as a “cure.”
The documentary recounts the national tragedy of Columbine and focuses on the largely unknown fact that teenage shooter Eric Harris was on the psychotropic drug Luvox at the time he and Dylan Klebold took the lives of 13 other students at their high school. Violence and aggression, precipitated by prescribed drug use, is also explored in an unprecedented discussion between Mark Taylor, the first shooting victim in the Columbine tragedy, and Cory Baadsgard, a teenager on Paxil and Effexor who, in another violent incident, took his teacher and 23 students hostage at gunpoint in his Washington high school.
The film proceeds to show the dangerous links between psychotropic drugs like Paxil, Luvox, Effexor and Prozac, commonly prescribed to adolescents for anxiety, depression and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) , and the increased incidents of violence, suicide and psychotic behavior often observed in those children and adolescents who are taking the drugs.
The film also provides compelling personal accounts, including a mother going to prison and losing her son to government authorities because she refused to give her son psychiatric drugs. Leading medical authorities and mental health professionals speak the unvarnished truth about current increased diagnoses of recently devised mental illnesses and the unprecedented prescription of a host of very powerful psychoactive drugs to “treat” them. Finally, this documentary explores safer, alternative methods for treating childhood mental illness.

It’s a must for parents, teachers, kids, doctors and everybody else.
Ok, so euongh already. Yeah yeah, Winnipeg is Winterpeg and “It’s a dry cold though!” I am so sick and tired of hearing these raggedy ass comments. After -25 who gives a good G.D. how dry the cold is, it is freaking freezing! I would like to know who came up with the term “wind chill”? How about we be more truthful and call it “bonemarrow freezing factor” or “Too freaking cold to go outside chill”? Wind chill…hmmph how cute a term for such a devastingly mind numbing as well as every extremity and appendage, freak of winter!!! Ah but you are a Canadian..you should be aclimitized? What moron living way south of the border thought that one up? We lost our fur way back in the A.D. or was it B.C.? ages. I for one do not find it fun to go out with 12 layers of clothing just so that I can make it to the car without every exposed patch of skin turning into a popsicle. Not to mention how bulky and non-slimming this style is. I must say one positive here though, Winnipeg does get more sunshine than my friend Bene’s hometown. Yep, it’s sunny here, all the better to see your frozen exhalations and truly appreciate how hard the wind is actually blowing. Wind chill indeed!!!

Alot of this info is outdated and 2nd hand.
Well im here to say, i admited myself about a year ago
And it was nothing like any of this stuff that these people talk about with lies.
In fact they where super open with every aspect of the drugs i took, what they sould and souldent do, and i was encouraged to be 100% troughful in how i felt and what the drug may or may not be doing (such as strange feelings, seeing things, etc.)
The negatives included, and they were open about this every step of the way. Seizures, Discolored excrements , loss of speech, blindness and in rare cases can cause permnant twiches.
I only sufferd from Discolored pee, witch was, common and not alot of danger, In fact it was always made open that try them all and find the one best suited for me, as they openly admit meny times, that they are dealing with the brain and a big ole sack of chemicals that make up the brain and that its not as easy as looking at a broken arm or the symptoms of the flu and that not all drugs work the same for everyone. it was always important to communicate how i felt daily….
Now throw a child into this world where parents lie all the time to their kids, they will say somthing like “Here take this it will make you better” nothing more. so when shit goes down and the kid is seeing shit and hearing things, “Mommy told me they would make me better, this must be what she means” and the child goes along with a drug that is not working as intended all because people lie too their kids and you can bet your ass they will lie about this shit and make claims only that it will be “Better” or “good”.
Sorry ,I didn’t understand your post.Could you make it more concise, pl? In which way it is outdated and how it is 2nd hand? Thanks!
