The God Delusion explores the unproven beliefs that are treated as factual by many religions and the extremes to which some followers have taken them. Dawkins opens the programme by describing the “would-be murderers. who want to kill you and me, and themselves, because they’re motivated by what they think is the highest ideal.” Dawkins argues that “the process of non-thinking called faith” is not a way of understanding the world, but instead stands in fundamental opposition to modern science and the scientific method, and is divisive and dangerous.
This is a television documentary, written and presented by Richard Dawkins, in which he argues that the world would be better off without religion. The documentary was first broadcast in January 2006, in the form of two 45-minute episodes (excluding advertisement breaks), on Channel 4 in the UK.

let me get this straight, the first commandment is don’t believe in false idols right? Then why do they all have statues to pray to? guess they can’t get none of it right if they can’t get the first law right?

Guys.. it’s really quite simple.. let me explain:
Belief is the law of life.
What a man thinks, so he is.
In other words, it doesn’t matter what you BELIEVE in. The fact that you BELIEVE is sufficient to harness the powers that will bring about the changes you seek.
If you believe that your new necklace given to you by some religious figure will keep illness away because you were told it would, your chances of becoming sick will be reduced because you BELIEVE it won’t happen. Not because of the necklace… or the golden calf, or a figure named ‘Jesus’, but because you BELIEVE you will stay healthy if you wear the necklace..
Belief works.. not because of the thing you are praying to, but the fact that you BELIEVE.
This is why other cultures think their religion is THE religion, and everyone else is wrong.. because they get results when they pray! But they are wrong, ANYONE who prays, believing they shall receive, will have their prayer answered. And it has NOTHING TO DO with their culture.
This law of belief works equally well whether you are Chinese, Pakistani, Russian, Muslim, Christian etc…
My advice: give up religion.. and use your imaginations to envision a life you want to live.. FEEL what it feels like to be in that life, see your new life in intricate detail.. hear the sounds, see the sights..believe it’s yours..and most of all, DON’T try to figure out HOW you will get there. Just imagine the end as if it was here NOW. Your inner self will handle those details…
If you plant the seeds frequently enough, your inner self WILL manifest the changes you seek.. providing you BELIEVE.
thus, there is no proof to anything in religion. you only can believe and have faith that what you believe is real even though it’s not fact
So If I believe in eternal life then I’ll live for ever? If I believe I can stay young forever then I will stay young? ‘coz I don’t want to get old and incontinent and then die, that is to tragic, but then how could I ever manifest such a strong belief as to have such power over matter, when all the evidence is contrary to that idea. This idea of the law of attraction seems to have limitations, we are still bound by the other laws of material nature. It seems to me that if I want to break out of these confines which like many others I truly do, I might have to perhaps reach out to some power beyond, a power that has no limitations like us humans. The law of attraction suggests we can manifest our desired reality in a god like kind of way. It seems like a cleaver way of denying god and saying “I’m god” well if that’s the case then perhaps there’s someone out there who is a true master of this matter manipulation technique so much so that he is spinning the planets and all us little wannabes around his little finger. Love and Respect.
hey ,,,, the guy who told us about the necklace thing ,,,, i would like to add one more thing , that there is still an outhere power that made that law u told us about ,,,,, and one of it’s properties of this power is that u can’t find out what is it !!! cause it still has more properties that we dont know what are they , and the human being wont be able forever to know what are those properties ,,,, in fact , if human beings have the total knowledge about what god is ,,, then there is know need for a god to exist ,,, and i think this is a simple proof ,,,,, imagine if u know everything about god ,,, like what is god made of ,,, or how god creats everything ? imagine if u know all the techniques that god have ,,,,, do u think that hence there will be a need for a god ???? idiot who spend time for thinking to reveal the secrets of god ,,,, they are seeking in SECRETS OF THE SECRETS ,,,,,, we should believe so ,,,,,, peace to all

the original creator or the supreme being is not only stranger than we suppose it is stranger than we can suppose
religion our need to grasp the unknown was one of our first sciences

Chucking the baby out with the bath water is the biggest mistake we could make. I believe there’s a god, I don’t want to hurt and kill people, I’m not at war with scientists and science. I want a better world. A nice balance of science and spirituality sounds quite nice. Just denying the idea that the cause of all causes or the original source is sentient is a serious error, believing that life can spring from no life is totally against all real scientific evidence. I’m very suspicious of people who seem to be on a mission to negate the idea that there is a god, I reckon they are generally motivated by some insidious agenda, especially these TV scientists who have the potency to influence a great number of people…I hope we all sort it out soon…love and peace
