The Story of Cosmetics, released on July 21st, 2010 at storyofcosmetics.org, examines the pervasive use of toxic chemicals in our everyday personal care products, from lipstick to baby shampoo. Produced by Free Range Studios and hosted by Annie Leonard, the seven-minute film reveals the implications for consumer and worker health and the environment, and outlines ways we can move the industry away from hazardous chemicals and towards safer alternatives. The film concludes with a call for viewers to support legislation aimed at ensuring the safety of cosmetics and personal care products.
The film was made in close partnership with The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics a national coalition working to protect the health of consumers and workers by securing the corporate, regulatory and legislative reforms necessary to eliminate dangerous chemicals from cosmetics and personal care products. Oh but dont you know? The government system IS trying to poision us. If youve seen ‘Capitalism: A Love Story’ or a couple other informative movies and info facts, you would see that the government does not care about us at all and well, for lack of better words, do infact want us to die faster because of their want for population control.. so this all makes sense. But whats frustrating is they try to control everything and pretty much have succeeded. Thanks to the maker of this movie, it was straight to the point, but I think you are thinking a little too high of the government.(or atleast the US government) All in all very informative and I hope people realize now that the government and other companies DO lie all the time without a care only for their worthless green paper. Lets take some action and stop trusting the higher powers.

My guess is the target audience is the pathetic western chicks that are completely self absorbed and as educated as a Barbie doll stuck in a pile of dog poop.
This chick makes statements like – why does her lipstick have lead in it? Why don’t you just stop using that crap? If you want to look better, get into the gym and drop that 30 lbs. your carrying around. That shit’s toxic to my eyes!
