For those of you praising “the movement” I would suggest doing more research. You’ve let a clever artist smooth talk his way between your ears, and I’ll bet none of you have done your due diligence as “researchers” and investigated any of the massive piles of evidence contradicting his fairytale work on religion. The man who calls himself “Peter Joseph” may be able to talk circles around a giant man-baby like Alex Jones, but that’s deliberate. What you won’t see is the man who hides behind acronyms discuss his nonsense with anyone actually qualified to debate him. Again, this is diliberate.

This is just information. The idea it is an “attack” is a projection. Sadly, propagandists against the project use this idea that the film “attacks” a group in order to try and manipulate others into not thinking critically about the information and hence push a bias. I think the Zeitgeist movies are great and do a very good job explaining things for sure, but I think their solutions dont really offer much. So we create a world with better technology and a different system. What is that going to do if humans are still programmed for greed power and control? It will create the same thing all over again. In that case, those attributes will disappear as we change the system we live in.

I find the Zeitgeist Movement and The Venus Project to be pretty interesting ideas and I do belive that a solution somewhat like the one TVP offers is the right way to go. For I have made quite some in-depth research in most of the aspects that the Zeitgeist films brings up. And Let me say one thing, I haven’t found one, single flaw in the Venus Projects “solution”. It all makes sense.

I went to the global screening of this film and it was amazing.

I’m sure some of the detractors who have already commented here will have the patience of a fish and miss many of the points. Nevertheless, it goes further into depth and detail of how the most sane and sustainable future attainable is The Venus Project.

Now, you can believe what you want, but, know that science has proven that humans have no genetic programming. Genetics do not make us alcoholics, rapists, drug addicts, etc, etc, but rather are DORMANT traits that are activated by environmental stimuli.

And, unfortunately, all our lives are governed and dictated by the dollar. So, asking a measly $5 for a movie that was written, directed, edited, etc, that is distributed FREE on the internet and seeing as how he made not one dime off of the global release makes him an involuntary hypocrite.

I honestly don’t understand what some of your problems are. I understand that it may sound too good to be true, but so does the bible and tons of people still believe in that. What we really need is religion to be useful and people of faith to act in the way of their deities. If people really believed in their scriptures, more would join TZM & TVP. I am in no way opposed to the Venus Project however there are some very naive views, how will these people be integrated into The Venus Project? is there going to be some kind of aryan selection process? because i highly doubt convicted individuals will be included. Just because you live in community that is designed to help one another doesnt override human emotion, the individual percieves the world through stimulus and interaction, from this they generate emotion which creates happiness or unhappiness. Point made earlier is that if we have memory of this capitalist society, the individual will unconsciously carry these traits with them to the new society.

All you have to do is look at the history of the human race, theres this want and need to advance ourselves which ultimately will result in a perpetual spiral of greed.. however you look at it. It may start of innocent i.e The Venus Project, however over time its likely people will become dissatisfied with what the current system has to offer. The Evidence is within our history.

why do humans always have to rush into adopting ideas as dogmas? why do we have to instantly become “followers”? the ideas presented by the zeitgeist movement are not new, in fact the reason it has such a solid fan base of supporters is because we all have suffered and still suffering from the way the monetary system works among other issues, difference is; no one had the courage nor the knowledge to properly challenge such a deeply rooted system which is why I very much respect Peter Joseph simply because he “speaks our minds”, but again it’s too early to predict how successful the ideas presented will be during the transitional phase of humanity towards such future if ever, so no need to have high hopes “yet” without more and more research and studies to be conducted and that’s what Jacque and Peter would need us to be doing rather than mumble about theories over and over again without realization how pragmatic they will prove to be.

Hunter gatherer societies (and as you at least should know, came before the agricultural revolution) do not have greed or any form of corruption. Living in a society of abundance and togetherness results in a stable egalitarian society.

That is the TRUTH of our species, we have a tendency to work together, we only compete when there’s scarcity, or we have competition instilled as a GOOD thing from birth.

The way we have propagated our species is to be selfish. The selfishness of our genes, right down to our DNA. Genes want to replicate, which is their purpose: to reproduce themselves. I like the movie. It presents the problems very well.

What I still miss is the spiritual component in the given solutions.

Even in perfect families children become corrupted by simple association with material surroundings. Material science can not purify our hearts from lust, anger, greed, enviousness and all other impurities. This can be done only when our consciousness becomes spiritually elevated. This is the basis of our problem and solution. Until we recognize that nothing belongs to us and that we are not the enjoyers we will have to suffer in this world. We have to become humble and recognize who is the real enjoyer and controller of all that is. We are meant to give Him pleasure, then all our needs will be satisfied automatically. This is the perfect science.

To Peter Joseph, I just want to say that Ive seen comments on the internet criticising what you do, calling you a cult leader etc. DUMBASSES TALKING BASICALLY. Some said here, that PJ is attacking religion. True … and it’s just a good thing. But I dod’t feel attacked even I personally am tibetan buddhist, always following Buddha’s teaching. And one of the best Buddha’s teaching was: “Always do everything yourself. Never believe in any of my words, just because it said Buddha – always check YOURSELF if I it’s true. Why not start after taking your next breath and even more so for each sequential breath that you take for granted? You can’t arrive at truth because you literally are a manifestation of truth and everything contrary to that is mere conception. All i know is that i know nothing. i expect everyone to live for themselves or others in order to be happy for themselves which encompasses the process to fulfilling that contentment. Happiness is a perception; a very simple concept. All it takes is that you truly believe in yourself and your pristine right to exist. Behind every revolution is a great idea. When are we going to start this project?

The ideas put forward by TZM and The Venus Project are really the only way that civilization can exist in the long term. This was observed by other scientist such as Carl Sagan and even Einstein (who spoke of doing away with countries).

How to build a civilization based on the principles of the TZM is going to be a difficult task. One way I foresee it, is to begin by building a self sustaining city somewhere in the world and then hoping that certain nations begin to see the benefits of such a society. I think if we could find a location on the planet to do this and then find philanthropists to donate money, we could get to work on a city in the next couple of decades.

They will not asking, just living. Technology will do the rest.

It has been a wonderful film, that has provoked a lot of thoughts. i have been raised in the Soviet Union, where I have learned a great deal about Marxist ideas, etc. It would have been a beautiful world if everyone could comprehend the lexicon of the speeches some people in this documentary have pronounced. Unfortunately, all great ideas die, since general population is uneducated and illiterate.
And as all revolutions come: the rulers are not capable of ruling anymore and the “ruled” do not want to be “ruled” anymore….

Well…The Zeitgeist movement has about 500.000 followers! It’s quiet obiovious what all this people (including myself) should do to change the world. Pick a city (like, Washington?), gather together (all 500.000) and remove the idiots in power!! At the end of the day , what are they gonna do to stop 500.000 people? Probably not much!!
